Just a quick sketch to celebrate the holiday.

I find Valentine's day to be a fun excuse to shower loved ones with some extra love, eat good, and snack on decadent chocolates.

I lined the drawing with a fountain pen and coloured it with markers. A white gel pen was used to add some finishing touches.

This drawing took a couple of hours for me to work on from the initial idea to the finish. As much as I want every artwork to be the best and most amazing, I find it important to also focus on works that are not created with that intention. I tried to keep in mind I was making something just for fun to share on a special day. The habit of being a perfectionist is hard to break, and there were a few times I almost trashed the drawing. I’m glad I didn’t give up on it. In the end, I’m happy with the illustration for what it is - a fun drawing. :)

Regardless of having a Valentine or not, art will always be a love of mine. Dare I hope, my art may be a love of yours too. ( 〃▽〃)( =＾ω＾)
